A new Sprouts Farmers Market will anchor an upcoming retail project east of Narcoossee Road.
VHB recently filed updated plans to Orange County on behalf of Altamonte Springs-based Emerson International for five buildings and 81,250 square feet of restaurant, retail, and office space on eight vacant acres at 9776 Eagle Creek Center Blvd. A 23,299-square-foot building at the southern end of the development would house the Sprout’s Farmers Market grocery store.
To the north, there would be a 5,724-square-foot retail building, as well as a pair of two-story buildings consisting of 22,249 and 24,978 square feet that would accommodate a mix of office and retail space. An additional building at the northern end of the center would have room for a 5,000-square-foot restaurant.
The project would be the latest phase of the Eagle Creek PD, as Emerson International developed eight adjacent commercial buildings on Narcoossee Road in earlier phases. The adjacent retail and commercial space began delivering in 2019 and wrapped up construction in 2023. Tenants include Smoothie King, Restore Hyper Wellness, Centennial Bank, Meat Wonderfood Lake Nona, Curious Cork Wine & Provisions, Mavis Tires & Brakes, Sunshine Oil Stop, and CFS Coffee For The Soul, Lake Nona.
Surveyor Southeastern Surveying & Mapping Company and architecture firm C4 Architecture are also working on the project. Representatives from Emerson International and Sprouts Farmers Market weren’t immediately available for comment.

Sprouts celebrated the grand opening on Friday for a new supermarket in Poinciana, bringing the grocery chain’s number of stores in the Orlando area to seven. The company has stores in Oviedo, Winter Park, Orlando’s Colonial Plaza, Apopka, Dr. Phillips, and Waterford Lakes, and there are also two Sprouts locations in Melbourne, including one that opened in March. Another store is planned for Clermont’s Shoppes at Hammock Ridge.
Sprouts is headquartered in Phoenix and is one of the largest and fastest-growing specialty retailers of fresh, natural and organic food in the United States. The grocer operates more than 440 stores in 24 states nationwide, including 55 in Florida.
Emerson’s new Sprouts-anchored retail project would complement the retail growth occurring in nearby Lake Nona. Tavistock Development Company announced in June that Target will build a 150,000-square-foot anchor store in the 405,00-square-foot Lake Nona West shopping center, which is currently under construction on Lake Nona Boulevard.
The center, which will feature an extensive public art component, is expected to consist of a mix of shops, restaurants, specialty grocers, and personal service operators. Earlier this year, Total Wine & More, the nation’s largest wine and spirits retailer, applied for a liquor license with the City of Orlando for a 20,000-square-foot junior anchor store within Lake Nona West.
