A unique home in an unexpected location can transport a buyer to another place and era.
The Packard House in St. Cloud feels a bit like a step back in time with a modern twist.
“It’s on an almost a 5-acre lot and in my opinion, it’s kind of the last remaining type of old Florida living that you have available to you,” said Harif Hazera, who is co-listing the property with Susan Abshire. Both are with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
The Georgian-style home itself also feels like it belongs across the pond.

“The owners are from the UK, and you have that appeal and architecture that is more traditional, but the home was built in 2022, so in my opinion, it’s a timeless feel and look,” he said.
Hazera grew up in Central Florida and says he remembers homes on large lots with mature trees and lots of space, which he says is not the case with many newer construction homes anymore.
Except for this one.
“My jaw hit the floor because [when] you pull up, it feels like a true estate. It is expansive. It’s sprawled out. The grounds are well manicured and pristine and it’s not every day that you see a property of this magnitude at this price point.”

The property is listed for $2.95 million.
“If this home were in Winter Park, it would literally be triple the price. Even if it were in Lake Nona, it would be significantly more expensive,” Hazera explained. “You could not get this house on this lot for anywhere remotely close to this price, so it’s [an] incredible value, especially for a newer construction home.”

The property includes a 9,500-square-foot house, a large guest house, a garage apartment, and an unfinished barn. It’s accessible from Mildred Bass Road and is just north of Lake Gentry, the southernmost lake in the Alligator Chain of Lakes.
“The foundation is laid for that if somebody wanted to finish it out, but as it stands right now, it’s basically a covered warehouse space,” Hazera explained, adding it would be good for a car collection, a gym, or a barn for animals or events.
The main house has five bedrooms including a primary suite on the first floor.
“The rooms are immense. They’re very expansive. The primary bedroom closet could be a room in and of itself. It’s absolutely enormous.”

A detached guest house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a garage apartment has a separate entrance, both of which Hazera said would be perfect for multi-generational living.
Hazera told GrowthSpotter the seller built the home himself and had no intention of selling it … until family circumstances changed.
“That’s why he went way over what any standard or kind of baseline would be. He built it for himself, and he has experience building, so this was not his first project,” he said. “It’s not a cookie-cutter house. It is definitely a custom home, and you’re not going to see anything like this from a production builder. This is custom built all the way through and through.”
The seller/builder likes surprises, including hidden rooms such as the office tucked away behind the pantry and a third-floor theater space.
“Upstairs, you have a loft and then you have a bookshelf that looks like an ordinary bookshelf. You walk up to the left side of it and you just basically pull on the bookshelf, and it slides open,” Hazera said. “You have stairs that [go up to] an incredible movie theater experience that you have upstairs that’s completely hidden.”

The home is close to the growing NeoCity area and other amenities like hospitals, the airport, and the coast.
“I think somebody who values privacy, space, and quality, is going to be the buyer for this property.”
